A little closer to home. This was taken at the Forks Riverwalk in downtown Winnipeg, so named because it's where the Red and Assiniboine rivers meet. It's a little unusual to have 16 (61) degree days here in mid-October, so I thought I'd take advantage
Ooh! Ooh! Today we got to use a real camera in Photo I. I've never used a camera with a focus ring before. For that matter, I haven't used a film camera in years.
It's weird. We went to this little Ritz camera shop, but there weren't any film cameras, so they had to call up the warehouse. They sold film, though. Just not affordable film cameras. I didn't know cameras cost so much... at least, the good ones.
Thanks! It really was a beautiful day to go for a walk.
Hey, that's pretty cool. It took me a while to get the hang of focusing when I first got my Minolta years ago. I paid 600$ for it and that was 20 years ago. I can't even remeber the last time I used it. Eventually I'd love to get a digital one like it, but they're REALLY expensive *sighs*
I hope that you're enjoying the photography classes.

Beautiful shot Linda .. just to tease..it got close to 80 degrees here earlier .. low tonight.. low 50s.... put that down my friend...we both know you can't throw it through the computer . Love the shot though.

You're so lucky! Both for the weather, and that I can't throw anything through the computer It was too gorgeous a day to pass up yesterday so I'm glad I took advantage It was only 46 today and really overcast and gloomy. I went out anyway and got some cemetery shots, and I have 6 pumkins here that look pretty photogenic
Thanks much for the fav!

There are a lot of themes that run through the stock gallery many people have similar ideas but they pull them off in different ways. In this series of newsletters we will look at similar ideas but different outcomes.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example.
